Peptide reconstitution calculator

Enter your vial strength and the bacteriostatic water you’re adding to get the reconstituted concentration in mg/mL. For laboratory research use only.

Simple in 3 steps

How to reconstitute

1
Add bacteriostatic water

Slowly add the diluent down the side of the vial onto the peptide. Never spray directly onto it. Let it dissolve — swirl gently, don’t shake.

2
Calculate the concentration

Enter the vial strength and the volume of water above to get the reconstituted concentration in mg/mL.

3
Store correctly

Store the reconstituted solution refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw. For laboratory research use only.

Good to know

  • Concentration = total peptide ÷ diluent volume, expressed in mg/mL.
  • More water gives a lower concentration; less water gives a higher concentration.
  • The amount of water changes the concentration, not the total peptide in the vial.

Handling & safety

  • Use bacteriostatic water for multi-use vials; sterile water for single use.
  • Keep everything sterile and wipe the stopper with alcohol before each use.
  • Strictly for laboratory research. Not for human or animal consumption.
FAQ

Calculator questions

What is bacteriostatic water?

Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which lets a reconstituted vial be used multiple times over a period. It’s the standard diluent for lyophilized research peptides.

How much water should I add?

There’s no single right answer. More water gives a lower concentration (mg/mL); less water gives a higher one. 1 to 3 mL is common. The calculator reports the concentration for whatever volume you choose.

What does the calculator show?

It reports the reconstituted concentration only — the amount of peptide per millilitre of solution (mg/mL and mcg/mL) — based on the vial strength and diluent volume you enter. It is a laboratory reference calculation.

Is this medical advice?

No. This tool is for laboratory and research calculations only. Products are not for human or animal consumption.
